This Privacy Policy explains how The Recipe Vault ("the App") collects, uses, and handles information in connection with your use of the App. The App is operated as a personal project and is not a commercial data business. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
The App may collect or store the following: (a) Recipe content you enter manually into the App; (b) Basic usage data such as page visits or interactions, which may be collected automatically by the hosting platform (Cloudflare); (c) Any account credentials if a login system is present. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data. We do not collect payment information.
Data you enter into the App is used solely to provide the App's core functionality — storing and retrieving your recipes. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your recipe data is stored using infrastructure provided by Cloudflare (including Cloudflare Workers and/or D1 databases). Whilst reasonable care is taken to operate the App, we make no guarantee as to the security, availability, or integrity of your data. The App is not designed for the storage of sensitive personal information. You should not store passwords, financial data, or other sensitive information in the App.
The operator accepts no liability for any loss, corruption, unauthorised access, or disclosure of your data, howsoever caused. You are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of any data you store in the App. In the event of a data breach or loss, the operator's obligations shall be limited to making reasonable efforts to notify affected users where required by applicable law.
The App is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare may collect technical data (such as IP addresses and request metadata) in accordance with their own Privacy Policy, available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. We are not responsible for Cloudflare's data practices.
The App may use cookies or local browser storage for functional purposes (e.g. maintaining a session). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies. Standard hosting logs may be maintained by Cloudflare for security and operational purposes.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise any such rights, contact us at the address below. Note that deletion of account data may result in permanent loss of stored recipes.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion of your account, we will endeavour to remove your data, subject to any technical constraints and applicable legal obligations. We do not guarantee recovery of data following deletion.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including within the European Economic Area or the United States, by Cloudflare's infrastructure. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or communicated via the contact email. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
