By accessing or using The Recipe Vault (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App. Your continued use of the App constitutes your ongoing acceptance of these Terms.
The Recipe Vault is a personal recipe storage application. The App allows users to save, organise, and retrieve recipe content. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to: (a) warranties of merchantability; (b) fitness for a particular purpose; (c) non-infringement; (d) that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (e) that data stored in the App will be preserved, backed up, or recoverable.
The operator accepts absolutely no liability whatsoever for any loss, corruption, deletion, or unavailability of any data, recipes, content, or information stored in or transmitted through the App, whether caused by technical failure, server outage, cyberattack, human error, acts of God, or any other cause whatsoever. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own independent backups of all data you enter into the App. Use of the App is entirely at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator, its affiliates, agents, employees, contractors, and licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of or inability to use the App; (b) any data loss or corruption; (c) any errors or inaccuracies in App content; (d) unauthorised access to your account or data; (e) any other matter relating to the App. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are sought.
By using the App, you irrevocably agree that you will not bring any claim, action, suit, or proceeding (whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute, or any other cause of action) against the operator personally or any associated party in connection with your use of the App or any data loss arising from it. Where local law does not permit the complete exclusion of liability, the operator's total aggregate liability shall in any event be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use the App in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) GBP 1.00 (one pound sterling).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator and any associated parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the App; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; (d) any content you submit, store, or transmit via the App.
You are solely responsible for: (a) maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials; (b) all activity that occurs under your account; (c) ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws; (d) creating and maintaining your own backup copies of any data you store in the App.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the recipe content you submit, but you grant the operator a non-exclusive licence to store and serve that content for the purpose of operating the App.
Subscription. The Recipe Vault offers a Premium subscription at £9.99 per year. A free tier is available that allows up to 3 saved recipes without charge.
Automatic Renewal. Premium subscriptions renew automatically each year on the anniversary of your first payment. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method the annual fee at each renewal date unless you cancel beforehand. You will not receive a separate reminder before each renewal charge.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time by clicking the 💳 Plan button within the app and selecting Manage subscription → Cancel plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain Premium access until that date, after which your account reverts to the free tier. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
Data Retention After Cancellation. If your subscription lapses, your saved recipes will be retained for 6 months from the cancellation date. If you resubscribe within that period, your recipes will be restored. After 6 months, your data will be permanently deleted.
Payment Processing. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. The operator does not store your card details. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Price Changes. The operator reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it affects their renewal.
The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. The operator is not obliged to retain or return any data following termination.
The operator may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator with respect to the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
